Four candidates seeking statewide office, and two representaives for an additionaltwo candidates, participated in a Tuesday forum. Statewide early voting ahead of the Nov. 3 election starts on Oct. 13.

The Georgia House District 152 race features Republican incumbent Bill Yearta and Democrat Mitchell Rosa, who is making his first run at political office. The two candidates will be on the ballot for voters in Lee and Worth counties and southeastern Dougherty County on Nov. 3.

“It’s still under investigation and we’re looking to make more arrests as we gather more evidence and identify more individuals involved. That’s our interpretation, that it was an argument or a fight that went down. That’s one thing we are looking at.”

“It’s like down home week, coming to see all the friends, and that’s very reassuring to see. We look forward to welcoming 40,000 or 50,000 of our closest friends to the Sunbelt Expo.”

"For me, this is all about ratepayers. Will this keep our rates low? That’s my biggest concern on a project like this.”

Early voting started statewide on Tuesday, giving voters three weeks to cast ballots ahead of the Nov. 3 election.

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Keisha Lance Bottoms made a campaign stop in Albany on Friday. Early voting for the Nov. 3 election runs through Oct. 30.

Only one competitive Dougherty County Commission race remains to be decided on Nov. 3. Democratic challenger Anthony Patterson is the challenger for incumbent Republican Russell Gray in District 4.

“Water will find a way. At the moment the water is finding a way from your roof down to the basement.”
