For nearly 10 years, University of New Mexico psychologist William R. Miller has studied how people cut down their alcohol use. Now, he and longtime collaborator Ricardo F. Muñoz are revisiting that research in their new book, Rethinking Drinking: Making the Right Choice for You, set for release Sept. 1.

Gary Scharnhorst, a retired University of New Mexico English professor and longtime Mark Twain scholar, has received the Louis J. Budd Award for Distinguished Scholarship from the Mark Twain Circle of America.

The Center for Regional Studies (CRS) hosts a screening of its newest documentary called he "Rio Grande: A Century of Water, Land and People in the Middle Valley." CRS filmmaker and community engagement director Aracely "Arcie" Chapa directed the film.
