Tractor tribute marks 17th year

A caravan of tractors line Main Street in Cecilia as the 17th annual Louis Crosier Memorial Tractor Ride began Sunday from the heart of Cecilia. The event honors the late community leader and raises money for a memorial scholarship fund, which serves students in the KY 86 Fire Department service area. The 35.5-mile ride included a handful of hay wagon carrying passengers.

Built in 1830 by the Sisters of Loretto as a girls’ boarding school, the property’s past was discussed in detail. Thompson hopes to restore the buildings which have suffered from neglect and vandalism.
