Happy fall equinox to all who celebrate! Only 90 days until the winter solstice...
Itโs gorgeous out there as metro area temperatures creep through the upper 60s. I imagine at least a few spots will end up in the low 70s by the end of the day.
We got some unexpected pops of sunshine this afternoon, which bumped some metro area spots into the low 70s! The light rain stayed where we figured it would-- along the northern Oregon/Washington coastlines and north of Kelso.
We are entering a very warm and dry stretch as we close out September! The month of September ended up a little over 2 degrees cooler than average, and about a half inch drier than average at the Portland International Airport. We are certainly kicking off October on a warm note! Temperatures will be consistently 5-10 degrees warmer than normal through the middle of next week.
It was a cool Saturday with metro area temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. Some spots have hit 60 degrees. Our 49-degree low temperature at PDX was our coolest morning so far this month, and weโre expecting even chillier temperatures overnight.
Another chilly night with patchy frost for some Mainly sunny and dry this week
It was a bit cloudier than we were expecting today, but temperatures will likely still top out in the mid 60s around Portland.

Wow, we had a juicy line of showers pass through this afternoon! Besides that sudden surge, rain has been mainly light and weโve had some dry breaks as well.
