Pitching Insights

Craig Thornton appears most responsive to pitches tied to theater, live music, and local arts happenings, especially when they involve clear event angles, announcements, or timely news. He also seems open to informative pieces that help readers understand upcoming performances, auditions, and other community-facing cultural updates.

For outreach, focus on concrete hooks like new productions, cast or audition news, concert series, tribute shows, and notable developments from local arts organizations. He may also be receptive to sources with direct knowledge of the event or production, especially when the pitch connects to a timely calendar moment or a community interest angle.

His coverage is centered on New York, particularly Watertown and the surrounding area, so local relevance should be emphasized.

When To Discuss Braces for Children

When To Discuss Braces for Children

By: Craig Thornton

In this North Country Professionals interview, 7 News' Beth Hall sits down with Dr. LaClair of Clayton Dental Office to discuss when parents should begin talking to their dentist about braces and orthodontic treatment for their children. Dr. LaClair explains why orthodontic care involves more than simply straightening teeth and how evaluating jaw development at an early age may help identify potential concerns before a child reaches their teenage years. He also discusses interceptive orthodontics, the importance of evaluating children while their facial structures are still developing and why ages 7 to 11 can be an important time to have these conversations. Learn how working with your dentist and understanding the options available may help parents make informed decisions about their child's orthodontic care.
