If you check out Forma — the Frank Gehry-designed condo tower rising at King and Duncan streets in Downtown Toronto — from the windows of the Scotiabank Theatre, a couple blocks to the northwest, it's like the windows are there as a filter to bring back the original swoops in the exterior seen in one of Gehry's early versions of the complex.

The sun pops out from behind both early morning clouds and the Atlas Crane in Biidassige Park on Toronto's waterfront. The meandering new mouth of the Don River passes through the park, half on the Port Lands' headland, and part on what's now the island of Ookwemin Minising. Reflections off the water, the magic wam light of dawn, and some remaining mist hanging about the thriving greenery all juxtapose beautifully with the industrial nature of the Port Lands' remaining business activity and its curated relics.
Looking north across the Union Station Rail Corridor from the Northern Linear Park at CityPlace, The Well's glassed canopy takes centre stage where latticed arms reach up to support a wave-like arch over the complex's pedestrian retail spine. In behind, one of KING Toronto's peaks rises to its full height, awaiting the glass block cladding that will turn the concrete levels into living spaces.
The CN Tower is perfectly framed between the ruins of two Victorian bay-and-gable houses on College Street across from the University of Toronto's St George campus. The heritage walls of the houses are on track to be incorporated into the base of a new rental apartment building.
