The Hawkeye women's basketball teams are expected to host several visitors throughout the next few weeks and it starts today. Jan Jensen and staff have been making roster decisions with the new five-for-five ruling and deciding what the best approach is moving forward.

All eyes were on Iowa's offense inside Kinnick Stadium and they delivered early and often. The quarterback competition lives on and both guys put a strong foot forward and helped build a 30-0 halftime lead.

Kirk Ferentz was a happy camper following Iowa's 40-0 win over Northern Illinois. Iowa scored on its first three possessions and never looked back as they did whatever they wanted. Following the game, Ferentz met with reporters to talk about several skill position players, the quarterback battle and much more.

There are multiple levels as to why Iowa's wide receivers haven't gotten it done in the passing game throughout the past decade. They went years without getting consistent separation from defenders.

Kamari Moulton might have been one of the most underappreciated Hawkeyes last season simply because his touchdown numbers weren't eye-popping. He finished last year with 878 rushing yards (5.2 per carry) to go along with five touchdowns.

The Hawkeyes took care of business on Saturday with a 40-0 drubbing of Northern Illinois. Iowa did exactly what they were supposed to do and showcased a lot of its young talent as they try to piece together this year's squad.

The state of Iowa is united this week. Okay, maybe it's divided. Nevertheless, Iowa and Iowa State will take the field inside Kinnick Stadium on Saturday night. The Hawkeyes have won seven straight night games in Kinnick Stadium since 2022.

A program run by Kirk Ferentz isn't going to provide a lot of bulletin board material. The soft-spoken coach has spent his entire career emphasizing a culture that doesn't feed into narratives created by the public or the media. During Cy-Hawk week, Iowa keeps it even more tight-lipped.
