Jan Jensen's team was thrilled to play against someone that wasn't themselves. They had that opportunity this weekend when they had a 'secret scrimmage' against a good Oklahoma State squad.

Kirk Ferentz and his team are in position to contend down the stretch. The next step in their challenge is against Minnesota this weekend. Both teams are coming off of a bye and will be well-rested ahead of the showdown.

It's time to fight for the Floyd Of Rosedale! One of the best trophies in college football is on the line this Saturday when Iowa travels up to Minnesota. Both teams are fresh off their bye weeks and should be well-rested for a four quarter bout.

The bye week was enjoyed by Iowa players but they are determined to not let that carryover into Minnesota. If there's one thing that this weekend in college football showed the Hawkeyes-- it's that anyone can be upset.

Kirk Ferentz has become more loose with the media over the past few years. Maybe it's due to his comfort with his coaching philosophy, coupled with the national respect that he has earned throughout his accolade-riddled career.

The Hawkeyes are aiming to come out of the bye week strong and they'll have a chance to do that against Minnesota. PJ Fleck's squad is fresh out of the bye week as well but were blown out by Purdue prior to the off week.

The Hawkeyes have become a national brand and that's not something that they are going to waste. Jan Jensen and her staff have continued the pursuit for several top prospects. They also had one on campus throughout Friday.

The Hawkeyes couldn't muster up any offense against Minnesota following the bye week and lose 13-10 inside Huntington Bank Stadium. The dangerous part about rivalries is the ability to be unpredictable.

There wasn't much that went right for the Hawkeyes on Saturday. Four turnovers, penalties and a lack of execution on offense ultimately killed their chance to escape with a win. Iowa's quarterback discussion will go for another week after what we saw on Saturday.

Saturday was one of the more mind-boggling losses in recent memory for Iowa. The Hawkeyes, who are normally a disciplined football team, made mistakes in almost every single area of the game.
