Nicolo Bulega has won his 17th race out of 18 of the 2026 WorldSBK season, the Aruba.it Ducati rider leading from lights to flag to take a very comfortable victory. This time, teammate Iker Lecuona could not put up any kind of resistance to Bulega's stranglehold on the race.

With the MotoGP rider reshuffle mostly complete, the WorldSBK rider market is in full swing. Today, Yamaha have announced that though Jack Miller will be leaving MotoGP, he will be joining them in their WorldSBK project, replacing the departing Xavi Vierge.

As Yamaha contemplated the proposed MotoGP rules for the 2027 season and beyond, they came to the realization that they had to make a bold and massive change. The reduction of the maximum width of the bike meant that if Yamaha wanted to be competitive and keep up with the ground effect aerodynamic war, they needed to switch from an inline four engine layout to a V4.

Misano is to Italy what Barcelona is to Spain. It is the heart of motorcycle racing in each country. Just as there are races from all around Spain - Jorge Martin and Raul Fernandez are from Madrid, Pedro Acosta from Murcia - but the vast majority of Spanish (ex-)MotoGP riders are from the Barcelona region, so it is the Riviera di Rimini region which produces most of Italy's top talent.

Brad Binder is the latest MotoGP rider to be named as joining the WorldSBK paddock. The South African is to replace the departing Danilo Petrucci in the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK factory team.

Marc Marquez has made his intentions clear in the first session of free practice for the MotoGP class at Misano. The Ducati Lenovo rider swapped the lead with Marco Bezzecchi for much of the session, finally claiming top spot at the end. But it was also a case of managing risk, the track still having a few damp patches after very heavy overnight rain.

Marco Bezzecchi has taken first blood at Misano, topping the timed session of practice for the MotoGP class on Friday and demoting Marc Marquez to second. Bezzecchi and Marquez traded fast laps in the last 20 minutes of the session, Marquez laying down a marker, Bezzecchi beating it at the end. If there's a difference, Marquez did not fit a second soft rear tire for his second time attack.

How do you win at Misano? At some tracks, you have to try to win as slowly as possible. But not Misano. There is no point in trying to save your tires, as the track doesn't use up the tires, despite the massive amount of grip the surface has. "In Misano, always zero," was how Luca Marini quantified tire wear.
