The Southern Regional Planning Panel has approved a 136-lot residential subdivision in Wolumla and the developer of the Wolumla Valley Estate, Craig Junor, said he was keen to see the engineering work and land release begin.

Bega Valley Shire (BVSC) councillors have stood their ground in the face of a blatant threat of legal action by the group CEO of United Petroleum Gary Brinkworth, who said United would take BVSC to the Land and Environment Court if the company's development application was refused.
