Behind the gates of a rented bungalow in south Chennai, an unassuming education supply company called Global 360 Edu Care operated for years as a vendor of textbooks, bags, and uniforms. Investigators now believe the property served as the front office of a massive, state-wide cash-for-clearances scam run during the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) regime that targeted private school managements who were desperate for recognition and various kinds of approval.
