In this changing world, it is important to get young people involved, to hear their voices as they shine a light on what is happening. The Land Bank is zeroing in on the purchase of Talking Horse Ranch, buying the full 122 acres and selling 40 acres of active farmland. The sale of the 40 acres includes a Request for Proposals to ensure the farm stays active. The deadline was Sept. 30, and during the Oct. 15 regular Land Bank Commission meeting, it was announced that three proposals were submitted; however, Camas Commons was the only proposal that qualified.

Senior night, a tribute to the last night senior football athletes play on the Friday Harbor High School football field, was made sweeter by the shutout victory over the Coupeville Wolves. Touchdown after touchdown, the Wolverines did not let up. The final score was 62-0.
