The path to getting tariff refunds hit a major milestone on April 20 when US Customs and Border Protection began allowing companies to submit refund requests. But importers likely won’t see refunds for at least two to three months, according to the government.

He said the move is in response to what he describes as Canada’s unfair treatment of dairy, alcohol, and cars from the US.
