Jamphen “Pen” Seeley announced on social media Wednesday that she is permanently closing Thai-Riffic at 1217 Second St. SW. across from Mayo Clinic’s Saint Marys Hospital. While the restaurant is closed, Thai-Riffic will still offer catering services in the area.

Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union plans to open a second full-service branch in Rochester at 221 28th St. SE as a sibling of its north branch at 3482 55th St. NW. The new south branch, staffed by a team of five, should be ready to open in early 2027.
Most of the employees will lose their jobs by Oct. 29 in the first phase. A second phase is slated to happen by April 1, 2027, to completely close the site and end all employment.
