In the September 7th episode of The Young and the Restless, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) had a secret rendezvous at the Riverbank Motel. Key Highlights Victoria and Kyle recently had sex on the couch in Jack's office at Jabot Claire finding them together would be an epic disaster Victor may discover his daughter is hooking up with his sworn enemy's son Jack and/or Diane would be shocked to discover Victoria and Kyle in a compromising position Victoria Hid Behind a Housekeeping Cart to Avoid Phyllis Catching Her and Kyle Together The pair had recently had sex on the couch in Jack Abbott's (Peter Bergman) office at Jabot. They both swore that it was a one-and-done and that it could never happen again. After their tryst, Victoria came out of the room and saw Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) standing there, talking on the phone. Image Credit: CBS So, Victoria ducked behind a housekeeping cart and hid until Phyllis walked off. Once Victoria was in the clear, she scurried back to the room with Kyle. Victoria couldn't figure out why Phyllis was at the same motel they were, but wouldn't it occur to her that perhaps Phyllis was meeting a gentleman for some afternoon delight of her own? At any rate, we all know how soaps work. Since Kyle and Victoria are desperate to keep their affair a secret, the truth is bound to come out. The only question is: which character is the most likely to catch Victoria and Kyle at the most inopportune time? Of course, my money is on Victoria's daughter, Claire Newman (Hayley Erin). The soap is already planting the seeds for the big reveal. It has to be Claire who discovers them together. After all, Claire was with Kyle first. Claire Finding Victoria and Kyle Together Would Be an Epic Disaster Kyle dated Claire for quite some time, and their relationship was very serious. He even proposed to her at one point. However, Claire was keen to go on a so-called “journey of self-discovery,” which really meant that she wanted to sleep with Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) guilt-free. Image Credit: CBS Claire will likely be furious with both her mom and Kyle if she's the one who finds them together. She shared every feeling she's ever felt about Kyle with Victoria. So, it will definitely seem like a betrayal to her that her ex-boyfriend is now sleeping with her mom. Plus, Claire will be quick to question Kyle's motives and wonder if Kyle is using her to get revenge on Victor Newman (Eric Braden). Which brings me to the next character who could potentially uncover Kyle and Victoria's affair: Victor. He would undoubtedly be enraged about it. The Newman and Abbott families have historically been at war for several decades. So, Victor won't like it one bit that Victoria and Kyle are “doing the deed” on the regular Jack, Victor, and/or Diane Discovering Kyle and Victoria Together Would Fuel the War Between the Abbott and Newman Families Victor is endlessly hyper-focused on his vendetta against the Abbotts, and discovering that his daughter is secretly hooking up with Kyle will likely cause an explosion. Victor will inevitably find a way to blame Jack for their secret affair. Knowing the Mustache, he would act like Jack wanted Kyle with a member of his family to piss him off. Also, Jack or Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) may find out about Victoria and Kyle first. While the juicy, soapy reveal of Claire finding them together would be infinitely more fun, the most likely candidates to catch them first are Jack and Diane. If Victoria and Kyle decide it's too risky to meet at the motel because of Phyllis's ongoing presence, the pair could meet for their dalliances at the Jabot offices. Then, the stakes would be even higher as a family member could easily catch them there. That said, Victoria and Kyle have repeatedly called what is brewing between them a mistake, but they keep running back to each other for more. That can only mean one thing: someone they least expect could catch Victoria and Kyle at the worst possible time, causing a shocking ripple effect in Genoa City!
