A story originally published in the Dalton Daily Citizen in December 2018 and republished earlier this summer incorrectly stated that Jahmyr Gibbs' grandmother, Angela Willis, had been his legal guardian since he was 13. The Dalton Daily Citizen recently spoke with Willis, who clarified that she was Gibbs' legal guardian throughout his childhood.
