A man accused of assaulting a young woman after she rejected his advances has been arrested by the police in Abuja, following widespread outrage over a viral video of the incident.

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and philanthropist in Gombe State, Engineer Aliyu Muhammad Kombat, has officially collapsed his political structure in support of the party's 2027 governorship candidate, Dr. Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna, in a move aimed at strengthening the APC ahead of the general elections.

The Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs has disowned the controversial Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC), saying it never had any official dealings with the council or its alleged director-general, Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi.
