The conversation looped around—three times to be exact. Questions flew: Why was I so naïve in my faith? Why wasn't I taught—or was I taught and I just didn't get it? Why am I hearing things for the very first time when I read scripture? Did they go over my head? Wasn't I ready?

The cross shook, literally, as it stood center stage. The 120 VBS (Vacation Bible School) kiddos and 70 volunteers did their thing.

Have you wrestled with doubt? I doubt that you have never done so. Sometimes little thoughts creep in ever so subtly and as much as the noise of the world covers, when we pause ever so slightly, we hear the whispering scoffers.

Sometimes our thoughts get stuck in the spin cycle—and airing things out—sort of vents, if you know what I mean. And, so it went. Just before an event, just before the food was served up, an offering of sorts—was offered up.

The little boy flew. Like the wind, he blew right past – full speed ahead. Unattended, he ran from one room to the next like a man on a mission. And, he was.

We pray away without delay. We are invited in. As all will soon turn – one way or the other. One may turn away. Or, toward.
