Kelly Davis is a Reporter at The San Diego Union-Tribune. She has extensively covered critical issues such as police reform, public event safety, and the high rate of deaths in San Diego County jails, often collaborating with her colleagues to bring attention to deficiencies in jail medical and mental health care. Her impactful work has been featured in numerous outlets, including Medscape, FOX 5 San Diego, and Voice of San Diego, and she was named journalist of the year by the San Diego chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists in 2023.
