RUTLAND — Emily Ryan is sharing her Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, or OCD, in a story. The Girl Scout’s Gold Award project resulted in Beneath the Surface, a book she wrote to increase awareness of OCD and how it can affect people’s lives.

HOLDEN — Molly Ellis is using her life experiences to help educate people on what to do if they see someone having an epileptic seizure. Turning her experiences into a book, Molly completed Molly Shakes: Living with Epilepsy as her Gold Award project for Girl Scouts.

PAXTON — The Paxton-area Seniors travel group will conclude its 2025 bus trip schedule with a three-pronged holiday journey on Monday, Dec. 8, 2025.

PAXTON — As a Nor’easter poured buckets of rain — but no snow — on the area last week (Oct. 12-14), buildings with holes in their roofs would have gotten even more soaking than usual.
