It's a Minnesota State Fair past time, watching or listening to your favorite broadcast personalities do their shows live.

It was a weekend of more violence in Minneapolis, but it struck way too close to home for Minneapolis residents Megan Stuart and Jack Hartigan, after early Saturday morning when a bullet went through the window of their condo near the Stone Arch Bridge. They talk about it with Jason DeRusha, and say they no longer feel safe in the city.

One person was injured during a mid-afternoon shootout Wednesday about a half-mile from the Mall of America. ​Bloomington Police Chief Booker Hodges says multiple arrests were made and more are likely: "People shooting in the middle of the damn day, there's a local business over there sick."

While the deal's been done for a while now, Jonathan Kuminga didn't arrive in Minnesota until earlier this week. The team's new forward credited stars Anthony Edwards and Lamelo Ball for helping get him to the Timberwolves: "Me and Melo and Ant spoke pretty much every day."

Friday marks 25 years since 9/11, the tragic and unforgettable terrorist attack on the U.S. that led to a years-long conflict in the Middle East, and killed nearly 3,000 Americans. ​In Minnesota, there are a number of things planned to commemorate the day. Here's a list of what to expect:

Americans are commemorating the 25th anniversary of 9/11, remembering the shock, the dead and the sweeping consequences of the attacks on symbols of U.S. might and prosperity. That includes a former White House staffer, and the brother of a Flight 93 hero: "The Secret Service burst into our office and said, run for your life."

Did you gnaw on a giant smoked turkey leg, bite your way through a bucket of Sweet Martha’s Cookies, or down a couple of double bacon corn dogs, each with a side of cheese curds? “First thing you gotta do is get your head straight,” said Lindy Vincent, host of the health podcast “Get Lean & Lit with Lindy.”

With its massive crowds and 12 days of saturation media coverage, the Minnesota State Fair is a business person’s dream, and this year shined a light on women-owned businesses: “This is the largest state marketplace to showcase your products or services."

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, a time to share resources to promote mental health support, which is coming with a new $10 million facility in St. Paul. “This is a time of great crisis, and we have to act now to literally save lives,” said Rev. Melvin Miller of Progressive Baptist Church.
