Elizabeth Welch and Baltico BRH secured the Adequan®/USEF Intermediaire I Para Dressage National Championship title. The Markel/USEF Developing Horse Grand Prix Dressage National Championship got underway with the FEI Intermediate II, followed by the FEI Young Rider Team test, part of the Iron Spring Farm/USEF Young Rider Dressage National Championship.

Three new national champions were recognized on the fourth day of the U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions at the HITS Lamplight Equestrian Center in Wayne, Ill. The Developing PSG and Young Horses also took their first turns down the centerline in the Markel/USEF Developing Horse Prix St. Georges National Championship, as well as the Markel/USEF Four-Year-Old and Five-Year-Old National Championships, all taking place in the HITS Arena on Thursday afternoon.

Competition continued Friday at the U.S. Dressage National Championships , hosted at HITS Lamplight Equestrian Center in Wayne, Ill. Three new national champions topped the podium in the Markel/USEF Developing Horse Grand Prix National Championship, Aspen Leaf Farm/USEF Pony Rider Dressage National Championship, and the USEF Dressage Medal Seat Final 13 & Under. Six- and 7-year-old horses entered the HITS Arena for the first time this week, marking the start of both the Markel/USEF 6-Year-Old Dressage National Championship and Markel/USEF 7-Year-Old Dressage National Championship.

The FEI 5-Year-Old Final test brought the championship to a close in the HITS Arena, with the national champion title going to Jessica Kozel (Wellington, Fla.) and Tuscany, a 2021 Hanoverian gelding (Taurus x Cavalieri), owned by Cynthia Perretti. With top remarks regarding their rhythmic trot and walk the previous day, the pair held their position coming in and received a 88.600% on the Final test, and a 88.360% overall. With three collective marks above nine from the panel of judges, the potential from this pair is undeniable. The gelding's walk and trot stood out, praised for their suppleness and impulsion across the ring. The judges also made note of the gelding's breeding.

Competition continued at the HITS Lamplight Equestrian Center on Saturday with four new champions crowned in the Markel/USEF Developing Horse Prix St. Georges Dressage National Championship , Adequan®/USEF Junior Dressage National Championship, and the Markel/USEF 4- and 5-Year-Old Dressage National Championships. The Children division began in the HITS Grand Prix Arena for their first day of testing as part of the Aspen Leaf Farm/USEF Children Dressage National Championship.

The final day of the 2026 U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions got off to a wet start with rain in Wayne, Ill. but the competition at the HITS Lamplight Equestrian Center could not be dampened. Four new national champions were crowned across both arenas, including the Markel/USEF 6- and 7-Year-Old Dressage National Championships.

The Defender U.S. Driving Team is ready to begin competition at the 2026 FEI Driving World Championship for Single Horses after all three horses representing the U.S. passed the first horse inspection today in Munich, Germany. The inspection, held ahead of the start of competition, confirmed that each horse is fit and ready to compete at the Olympia-Reitanlage München-Riem from September 1-6, 2026.
Kent Farrington (USA) didn't realize there was still a “first” he could accomplish, which was to podium in two different countries within a span of 24 hours. Late Saturday night, he landed himself in second place on the CSI5* Grand Prix podium in Canada, then made it back to Traverse City Sunday in time for the $116,050 Agero & Silver Oak CSI3* Grand Prix, which he won aboard Dolores PS.
