One person was killed in a crash on Interstate 255 Wednesday afternoon. A driver apparently lost control of their vehicle while changing lanes and crossed through the center median, rolling over at least once and coming to rest in the southbound lanes. A backseat passenger in the vehicle was ejected from the car at died at the scene.

The Teamsters Union strike against the City of Alton continues and there are no new meetings planned after the two sides met last Thursday. There is word that a federal mediator may be requested, but a union spokesman says he believes the negotiations have taken a step in the wrong direction.

Illinois State Police are investigating a fatal crash on Interstate 55 near Edwardsville on Wednesday morning. The crash involving a business van and tractor trailer took place in the southbound lanes near the Homestead Rest Area just after 6:00am. The driver of the van died in the crash.

The Madison County State's Attorney has announced a 25 year sentence for a Collinsville man after he admitted to attacking a co-worker at the Collinsville Walmart last summer. 20 year old Kelvin Fuller told police he attacked the woman with a knife because he felt disrespected by her. He fled the scene after the attack but was captured nearby by police.
