The approaching weather pattern is driven by a low-pressure system setting to the northwest that will swing farther inland and move toward the northeast.

The low-pressure area will spin up moisture across western and central Idaho, while eastern locations remain mostly sunny and breezy.

For Saturday, look for highs near 80° in the Snake River Plain. Winds out of the southwest around 10-15 mph, with gusts around 25 mph.

Sunny skies for Tuesday, with afternoon winds around 10 mph. Wind gusts will be as high as 20 mph. On Wednesday, we'll see more sunshine.

Tuesday night will remain mostly clear and cool, with overnight lows falling into the upper 30s and lower 40s.

Overnight for Wednesday night, clear skies with a low temperature around the lower 40's. Winds will be out of the south around 5-10 mph.

For Thursday night, we'll see mostly cloudy with a low temperature in the mid 50's. Some isolated showers will be possible.

For Sunday, we have a chance of a few showers and thunderstorms, mainly for the mountains. Cooler for Sunday, with high temperatures reaching the upper 60's and lower 70's.
