Following the successful October 2025 remaster of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos, Argonaut Games has announced a new revival: Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos. This remaster of the 1999 sequel, which featured more free-roaming gameplay and go-karts, is slated for release in Q4 2026. It will launch on all major platforms, including Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and GOG. The project is expected to include graphical enhancements, CRT filters, a remastered soundtrack, and revamped controls, crucially addressing the original's wily camera. The Croc2pedia, an extensive digital museum of art and developer interviews, will also return. Lead designer Nic Cusworth previously called Croc 2 a "flawed favorite," and this remaster aims to refine its potential.
