Horry County police found a ripped-off blue shower curtain, a black belt in the bathtub, trash bags full of soiled linens and towels, and cleaning supplies in the upstairs bathroom of Margaret Roberson’s Carolina Forest home. Roberson’s daughter Camisha McGaskey, 32, was accused of killing 11-year-old A’Kyri Bell in this bathroom back on June 11, 2025. Her murder trial was the week of Oct. 19, 2026.

Myrtle Beach detective Lucy Snell pulls up the top of the wooden hope chest, which 51-year-old Penni Whiteside was found in on June 12, 2024. When investigators found the chest and pulled it out of the ground that day, the chest reportedly splintered and fell apart. Penni’s body was discovered “basically folded in half” inside the chest. Penni’s boyfriend Sheridan Fogle, 56, was charged with her murder and his trial took place the week of Oct. 26, 2026.
