Last week we witnessed a pitiful display of counter-denials regarding ‘who said what' – leading up to a caucus meeting of a major national political party. Many media sources, mainly of the print variety, consistently since then, have seriously queried that a single entity (and a well-respected minister) could not have been the sole ‘rolling' machinery. Which machinery, howsoever formed and clearly mismanaged, caused the leader of the party to hurriedly increase the coffers of his previous employer by urgently summoning all of caucus from the far-flung corners of the country.
