On Wednesday Trump gave a speech at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas. Something new was going on with his hair, and there was a great deal of gleeful speculation about it. Some have speculated that he was wearing a wig. I have no experience with such things, but it seems to me that if it was actually a whole wig it would cover all of what remains of his real hair, not just some of it. But there's no question his hair looked different and fuller. Could it have been some kind of added hair or weave?

The Washington Post reports that last month, in leaving the NATO summit in Turkey, Trump sneaked out of Air Force One in a catering truck. In response to a credible threat that Iranian elements were plotting his assassination, Trump publicly entered the legacy Air Force One (as distinct from the one he wanted to be on, the 747 gifted to him by the Qatari dictator), walked to the other side of the plane, entered the rear compartment of a catering truck hydraulically lifted to receive him, was lowered and sneaked away to secretly board a military plane.

“Fraud” is a word that Trump uses all the time. According to Trump, there was “massive voter fraud” due to “millions of illegal aliens voting in the 2020 election.” Trump has repeatedly asserted that the evidence for this fraud is “overwhelming.”

It has begun. The Department of so-called Justice announced that they are going to deploy a thousand poll watchers across America during the 2026 midterm elections. That is every inch as sinister as it sounds.

She frantically searches the diminishing supply of positive stories about Trump on the internet. She prints them out and reads them aloud to him.

Yet another desecration of the national character was inflicted on America by Trump on Sunday. It happened at the so-called “Freedom 250 Grand Prix,” held around the National Mall. The resulting deafening noises of an auto race and the Nuremberg-like roar of the crowd are two of the five forms of entertainment Trump understands. The other three are golf, fire, and human suffering.

Trump is a malignant narcissist who also may have frontotemporal dementia. That might sound like nothing more than an insult with just a lot of fancy words. I wish that was all it was. In fact, those words do a lot of heavy lifting. So permit me to break them down.

There is no hyperbole excessive enough to convey my revulsion at Trump's recent howler, where he ranks himself with a fabricated meme as the “greatest” US president of all time. I also cannot overstate how little I was surprised.

If Obama had been convicted of 34 felonies. If Obama had a much younger woman who was clearly besotted with him, follow him everywhere 24/7. If Obama made billions of dollars while president. If Obama sold 600,000 “gold” telephones for $300 and delivered only a tiny number of cheap, tacky phones made in Taiwan after more than a year's delay.
