– Besides a PM sprinkle, the Wiregrass will remain dry today as September gets off to a hot start in the mid-90s. A few more showers could be spotted on Wednesday as deeper moisture soaks back in, followed by better rain chances through the last half of the week. Areas that remain dry will continue hosting summertime heat instead.

– While a shower could pop up this afternoon, nothing will deter temperatures from peaking in the mid-90s as a few more clouds flow in from the East. Deeper moisture will accompany them, kicking off a stretch of slightly higher rain chances on Thursday. Some areas of the Wiregrass through that stretch will likely miss out on rain altogether, feeling the heat instead.

– Intense heat will continue to hog the spotlight this afternoon before areas south and east run into the chance of a few showers Thursday evening. The following afternoons will likely host a few more showers and thunderstorms, but rain will be far from guaranteed throughout Labor Day weekend. Temperatures in the meantime will stay in the 90s, especially for those that remain dry.

– Friday morning's cloud cover will prevent temperatures from rising as fast and far as they have been this week, with pop-up showers and thunderstorms likely cooling select areas down this afternoon. Low-end rain chances will continue through Labor Day, sharing the holiday weekend with summertime heat. More hot and mainly dry days are on tap next week.

– Our stretch of summer heat will not be taking time off for Labor Day as temperatures reach well into the 90s again this afternoon. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will remain a possibility into the evening before drier air invades the Wiregrass, briefly lowering rain chances Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures and rain chances will trend slightly higher through the rest of the week.

– Drier air has arrived to dampen the Wiregrass' humidity levels and rain chances ― but its stay will be brief. Showers and thunderstorms will likely be spotted again by Thursday, kicking off a period of more seasonal afternoon temperatures toward the weekend.

– Another dry and hotter-than-normal afternoon is on tap Wednesday, but deeper moisture will be at our doorstep by tonight to deliver better rain chances for the days ahead. Extra clouds and scattered PM showers and thunderstorms will support more seasonal highs through Saturday. Summertime heat will bounce back once rain chances lower into next week.
