Listening to the new GENERACIÓN SUICIDA album Hombre Nuevo , out now on Vitrol Records , puts a smile on my face. Their brand of Western-tinged post-punk reminds me of growing up in the SoCal punk scene. This band knows how to write songs that make you want to live life! I want to congratulate GENERACIÓN SUICIDA on manifesting an awesome collection of songs that will stand the test of time.

You Weren't There – A History of Chicago Punk 1977 to 1984 is one of the raddest punk documentaries I have ever seen. Watching this film gives me chills because it takes me back in time! What trips me out is that no matter where you were during this time, all of the punks had to deal with the same bullshit! I can't front, I loved bands from Chicago during the 80s. You Weren't There – A History of Chicago Punk 1977 to 1984 will show what the scene was like before Hardcore became the norm! Join us as we celebrate a community that continues to make an impact on the world today.
