Halloween is this Saturday, and if you're planning to take the kids out trick-or-treating, check your city's rules first. Most local cities limit trick-or-treating to children 12 and under, with Chesapeake as the exception at age 14. In most places, the fun starts around dusk, about 6 p.m., and wraps up by 8 p.m. Going outside the age or time limits is technically a misdemeanor, but parents and guardians walking with their children are always allowed.
