Share Tweet “Thank you, Lithuania and thank you, Lithuanian basketball” – that was Arizona coach Tommy Lloyd’s lasting message for those in Lithuania and beyond after UA defeated Lithuania’s A/B Team 88-74. That message could have been from Arizona fans from all over as well as they – or many – sat through six hours […]

Share Tweet Mission accomplished … at least for unranked Arizona in defeating Northern Arizona, 35-7, on Saturday night. How it has all set up for next week’s showdown with No. 14 Brigham Young will be anyone’s guess, but for at least three-plus hours Arizona got in, got out and has gone 1-0 to start the […]

Share Tweet An inch – or two – may as well have been a mile on Saturday in Provo, Utah. Cliché? Sure. The truth? No doubt. What that inch – or two – on a failed fourth-down attempt put a game that was in deep doubt into what looked like a rout – but wasn’t. […]

Share Tweet It was almost three years to the date – Sept. 23, 2026 – Noah Fifita took over for a then-injured Jayden de Laura against Stanford and helped win the game. Arizona looked different under center that day in replacing de Laura late in the game. The team played harder, steadier – more confident. […]

Share Tweet All week – at least on the radio show – the question was: just how good is the Arizona football team? Kinda good? Good? Real good? Is there something in between all that? We know it’s much better than Northern Arizona, Northern Illinois and Washington State … as it should be. And it […]

One thing is certain about the Arizona football team: it’s entertaining, very entertaining. And dare I say good, after debating the level of good last week

Share Tweet This is not about last night. What does it matter if Arizona defeated an overmatched Eastern Washington 85-54 at home? Heck, coach Tommy Lloyd was a bit disappointed because his team didn’t beat them by more. That’s all that needs to be said. “For us to not score 100 points is a little […]
Share Tweet Welcome to the Fun Bunch! How else do you describe the University of Arizona football team as it continues this glory ride to 6-1 and meaningful games in late October? Saturday’s walk-in-the-park 39-3 win over visiting Iowa State did something many in the Big 12 Conference have yet to do – avoid an […]
