BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - High pressure will build into the area today... giving us a spectacular start to the work week. We'll see lots of sunshine today... very comfortable humidity levels and high temperatures in the low to mid-70s. Skies will be clear to partly cloudy tonight with nighttime temperatures dipping a bit below average for this time of year. Overnight lows will bottom out in the mid-40s to low 50s.

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Overall... we've got a drier day on tap for our Friday although we're not completely out of the woods with the wet weather as low pressure... in the upper levels of the atmosphere... moves over the area. This will keep clouds and a chance for some scattered showers and possibly a few isolated thunderstorms across the area... especially from late morning through the afternoon. By no means will it be a washout but if you have outdoor plans... keep in mind there will still be a chance for a few showers throughout the day. Temperatures will be better today with highs topping off in the upper 60s to mid-70s. Skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy tonight with the chance for a few scattered showers along with some patchy fog. Nighttime temperatures will fall back to the 50s.

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A cold front will continue to push offshore this morning. Scattered showers are possible through mid-morning (mainly Dover-Foxcroft to Lincoln and points south) followed by clearing skies from north to south as the morning progresses. We'll see lots of sunshine through the remainder of the day. It'll be breezy with a north/northwest wind gusting to 20-25 MPH at times. Look for temperatures to top off in the mid-60s to low 70s for highs. Skies will start clear tonight followed by increasing clouds after midnight as a warm front approaches from the west. It'll be cool with lows mainly in the 40s. Some mid to upper 30s possible across the north... especially if clouds move in a bit slower than forecast.

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A cold front will cross the state this morning taking any lingering showers over coastal and Downeast areas out of the area early. An upper-level disturbance passing to our north may bring a few isolated showers to the northern half of the state later this morning and through the afternoon hours otherwise most areas will see a dry day today with a mix of sun and clouds expected. It'll be a windy day with westerly winds gusting to 30-35 MPH at times. With some warmer air in place... temperatures will top off a bit above average with highs in the 70s to around 80° this afternoon. We'll see partly cloudy skies tonight and winds will diminish a bit for the overnight but could still gust to 20-25 MPH at times. Cooler air will move in as the night progresses allowing temperatures to drop to the 40s to low 50s for nighttime lows.
