Utah Valley University (UVU) has launched the Freshman Concurrent Enrollment Merit Scholarship, aimed at rewarding high school students who took college courses through its concurrent enrollment program. Qualifying students can earn up to $20,000 toward their degree. Mayor Jenny Wilson, the Salt Lake County Council, and the county’s independently elected officials signed a joint proclamation today naming September 2026 Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month.
