Chandigarh: Households across Haryana will get cleaner water at the tap as the government overhauls its ageing supply network, with about ₹1,000 crore set aside for the work, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said on Tuesday. The money will rebuild 466 old brick-built water works as reinforced cement concrete (RCC) structures. At these ageing plants, groundwater has been seeping into the stored water and pushing up fluoride, hardness and total dissolved solids (TDS); the concrete rebuild will shut that seepage out and ease the strain on treatment machinery. “Providing safe drinking water is among the government’s top priorities,” Saini told
