Alex focuses on local news, particularly related to educational institutions such as Michigan State University (MSU) and the University of North Carolina (UNC), with a significant emphasis on government announcements and legal policy regulations. Given this focus, individuals who have expertise or experiences related to higher education governance, internal investigations within universities, and government policies impacting educational institutions could provide valuable insights for Alex's coverage.
Considering their reporting themes covering Government & Politics along with Sports, sources knowledgeable about university governance structures, board conduct in academic settings, and legal experts specializing in higher education law would likely be relevant for potential outreach. Additionally, those familiar with NCAA compliance matters may also find opportunities to contribute given the sports-related coverage included in Walters' articles.
As Alex's geographic focus is local to the United States—specifically Michigan and East Lansing—individuals connected to these areas or possessing localized knowledge about university administrations may find greater relevance when reaching out.
