The US-led global order “is over” and the world has entered a period of heightened geopolitical uncertainty, former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said Tuesday.

India’s central bank will likely continue its efforts to curb volatility in the rupee, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said Tuesday, after recent measures helped the currency rebound from steep losses.

Sunak also said that technology companies are on track to become larger net issuers of long-term debt than the US government in 2027.

The Reserve Bank of India would consider further measures, if needed, to curb speculative trading in the foreign exchange market, Governor Sanjay Malhotra said in an interview to Moneycontrol.
