Winter is the fastest-warming season in Minnesota, El Niño or not. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration just released its three month winter outlook for November, December, and January. There are still going to be pockets of bitter cold. On average, though, we expect a big bump upwards in temps. This is likely to mean less overall snow but NOT a less wet winter.
