EasyMFG's new M400Ultra shakes up metal binder jetting. EasyMFG, a Chinese binder-jetting specialist that still sells most of its systems domestically but has recently expanded availability into Europe and North America, just launched the M400Ultra at Formnext Asia, according to Chinese 3D printing outlet Nanjixiong. The company's previous M400Pro made metal binder jetting more affordable (roughly $100K at the time) and suitable for small-batch production, while the new M400Ultra aims to make that same platform consistent enough for true serial manufacturing with a new vibrating powder-spreading system.

TPM3D’s new compact SLS gets a capacity boost over the last model. TPM3D used Formnext Asia Shenzhen to launch the CF250 and companion PPS250 powder-processing station, successors to the CF200 + PPS200 system we saw at Formnext Frankfurt in 2025. The CF250 is positioned as a compact alternative to systems like the Formlabs Fuse Fuse 1+ 30W. It now sports a larger chamber than before (250 × 250 × 320 mm) and raised productivity claims to 0.9–1.0 L/h. TPM3D has not announced pricing for the CF250 + PPS250.

Turning a hobby into occasional sales raises a surprisingly hard question: what should you actually charge for things you 3D print and sell?

This blouse is 3D printed from algae using vibe-coded software. We’re used to seeing “sustainable” 3D printing materials arrive with a Benchy and a lot of promises. A blouse is far more interesting. Designer Danit Peleg collaborated with filament maker ColorFabb on a soft, textile-like version of Algenesis’ Soleic bio-based TPU that All3DP featured in January. The result is a soft, textile-like 3D printing material that's biodegradable and free from microplastics. If biodegradable TPU can go from experimental filament to actual clothing, that’s the kind of progress we’re happy to wear.

Victory is fragile. Apparently, so is this 3D printed F1 trophy. Formula 1 hands out different trophies at each race, but the Italian Grand Prix has made something of a sport out of making its awards weird. This year, it 3D printed one. Called "fragile", this week's eccentric installment is a deliberately wobbly-looking stack of cups and bowls 3D printed from nylon powder, then painted, galvanized, and polished. This personal fabric printer is coming for your wardrobe. Fresh from its pivot away from making 3D printers under the AnkerMake brand to making desktop UV printers as EufyMake, Anker gave IFA Berlin attendees a sneak peak at its upcoming Next-Gen Fabric Printer that supports both direct-to-garment (DTG) and direct-to-film (DTF) printing, promising desktop apparel customization without the usual industrial-sized setup. The machine is slated for Q1 2027, and EufyMake is already recruiting would-be beta testers at its Facebook page.

Does metal filament emit more harmful fumes and particles? The UL Research Institutes new study of five metal-filled FDM filaments found that, compared with conventional polymer filaments, metal composites generally emitted fewer particles by number and lower levels of VOCs (fumes). Downside: the size of emitted matter was larger but mostly still below 1 micron. Relatively little of the embedded metal powder becomes airborne during printing, researchers found. The paper does not name the filament brand, but the tested lineup very closely matches Markforged’s Metal X material system.
