At long last, Chase Briscoe secured his first win of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season after he showed up with a fast hot rod at Chicagoland and he drove it right on to victory lane. Briscoe is certainly validating Joe Gibbs Racing’s decision to sign him and put him into the 19-car as he now has four wins in two seasons with JGR. This was right around the time he started heating up a year ago so perhaps last week’s win gives him the momentum to collect a few more wins this year.

Ryan Blaney secured his second win of the season last week at Atlanta with an absolutely dominant performance from the pole where he led 171 laps. It marked the eighth straight top 10 finish for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series Champion. And he only has FOUR finishes outside the top 15 during the 2026 season. And two of those were because he wrecked at Daytona and Talladega. Blaney has been very consistent and keeping the Ford camp on the map during a season where the Toyota’s have dominated.

Joey Logano flat out dominated last week’s race at North Wilkesboro with 323 laps led, 100 fastest laps, and he got the win for his first of the season. It’s awfully tricky to gauge when Logano will show up with his best stuff, but he stepped up big time on a short track and got Team Penske its second consecutive win after Ryan Blaney won the week prior at Atlanta.

The NASCAR Cup Series returns after a week off and we’re in the home stretch for the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season! We have four races left in the regular season before The Chase begins with the final 10 playoff races. With the NFL season looming we have to take advantage of these slates because the prize pools are about to shrink once we get to September.

Ty Gibbs was able to lock up his second career win at Iowa Speedway last week and he did it amidst some brake issues for a few of the drivers in the Toyota camp. But for the second straight week, the NASCAR Cup Series heads to another short, flat track. Richmond Raceway, aka “The Action Track” will play host to a night race on Saturday. With just three races to go until The Chase kicks off the renewed playoff format, points are a premium for those drivers near-or-below the cut line.

We’re in the dog days of summer with the 2026 NFL season fast approaching so the NASCAR prize pools might take a bit of a hit in a few weeks. I try to emphasize this as much as possible, but this is the time of year where Team Penske really turns things up as we head into the playoff portion of the schedule. The Chase for the Cup Series Championship is looming and Ryan Blaney has been winning poles at a fast rate and Penske has won three of the last five races.

We close out the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series regular season where the campaign began, Daytona International Speedway. This is the World Center of Racing and it’s been the regular season finale for the last few seasons now as NASCAR dials up the excitement just ahead of The Chase.

NASCAR closed out the regular season portion of its schedule at Daytona last weekend, and racing fans were not disappointed. The race played out like your typical superspeedway race should. It was lighter on cautions, but we saw movement and aggressive driving to get to the front. And when it was all said and done, Ryan Preece laid claim to his first NASCAR Cup Series win and earned his way into the Chase.

After a long stretch of runner-up finishes this year, Christopher Bell finally broke through and got his first win of the season. It’s a little stunning simply because Bell had a stretch a few seasons ago where he won three straight races early in the year. And he’s always a threat to win on the shorter, flat tracks earlier in the schedule. But he won at Darlington to give him some momentum as we continue with the second race of the Chase.
