EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -It’s been a hot one today with highs in the 90s, feeling like the triple digits. Unfortunately, relief isn’t near just yet. A few thunderstorms will be possible across our Kentucky counties tonight. The rest of us in the Tri-State should remain dry tonight. Some patchy fog may greet you on your way out Sunday morning with temperatures in the 70s. Highs will climb back into the 90s Sunday afternoon with heat index values around 100 degrees.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - he heat is going to be the big story across the Tri-State over the next several days. A Heat Advisory is in effect as prolonged heat and humidity push heat index values above 100 degrees each afternoon through Wednesday.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The Extreme Heat Warning continues through Sunday, with another day of dangerous heat on the way. Temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 90s, with heat index values ranging from around 105 to 110 degrees.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - We have made it to the final day of the current extreme heat stretch. Heat index values are once again sitting in the triple digits, with some locations feeling as hot as 110 to 115 degrees. Following the dangerous heat will be a severe storm threat tonight and into the overnight hours.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - It’s been a great start to the weekend, with plenty of sunshine and temperatures right where they should be for late August. Highs reached the upper 80s today. Tonight, will be quiet and comfortable in the low 60s, although a little patchy fog could develop early Sunday morning, especially across parts of western Kentucky. Sunday looks like another beautiful day, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low to mid 80s.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - It was a beautiful weekend, and we’ll keep it going this week! Tonight, will be another quiet and comfortable night across the Tri-State. It will be partly cloudy with light winds, allowing temperatures to cool into the upper 50s to low 60s by Monday morning. We could also see some patchy fog develop, especially along and northwest of the Ohio River.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Confidence continues to increase that we’re headed for a significant heat wave next week. High pressure will strengthen over the region, sending temperatures into the 90s and potentially the triple digits for several days. More importantly, the combination of heat and humidity will push heat index values above 100 degrees.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The Tri-State is heading into another prolonged stretch of dangerous heat, with temperatures climbing into the upper 90s to around 100 degrees for much of the week. A Heat Advisory is in effect Monday, with an Excessive Heat Watch from Tuesday through Friday. Heat index values are expected to reach 100 degrees or higher nearly every day, with some locations potentially reaching or exceeding 105 degrees.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - It was a beautiful weekend, but the heat will be making a return this week! We’ll see a brief break from the heat Monday with highs in the mid-80s. However, another blast of summer-like temperatures will be back in the Tri-State by Tuesday.
