Last night, username GASTON called attention to a WMUR story about Granite Staters suddenly being harassed by the registry for unpaid out-of-state tickets that were issued decades ago . If a prosecutor or plaintiff can't unleash litigation over crimes and grievances that long ago, why should the registry get to?

When governments debate economic progress, inequality, or fiscal sustainability, they typically rely on evidence derived from national accounts, GDP, and taxation statistics used to measure the distribution of income and wealth. Yet one of the most economically significant investments in the next generation remains almost entirely invisible in those measures: the nutrition and care provided through breastfeeding. The upcoming November Colorado state ballot will have a dangerous and deceptive initiative on it, Amendment 82, “Right to Natural Gas”, which may seem harmless, but it's not. It's a blatant attempt by the fossil fuel industry to put barriers into our state constitution to make it difficult, if not impossible, to prevent developers and utilities from installing methane gas supplies to new developments. It's sparsely worded on purpose. A recent example of this is a development in Aurora with 25,000 homes, to which Xcel was requesting last year a natural gas supply line (5 miles long, costing $23 million), which would have caused higher bills for all Xcel customers to cover the cost, while allowing 25,000 additional homes to spew yet more carbon with equipment that will be obsolete in the near future.

I could easily build a case against General Bolduc's character by ranting about everything he's done wrong since winning his 2022 primary, but for now, let's talk about his new endorsement of the PappASS. Bolduc played the VETERAN card, even though his argument is lame. When Scott Brown (a fellow veteran endorsed by Bolduc) lost his primary, the right move for a public figure, veteran, and influencer was to endorse his fellow veteran, Edmond Laplante, who EARNED his ballot access the hard way.

Pray com sends emails every morning with a suggested reading and prayer. They do that year-round, even in October, which they've declared “Fruit of the Spirit Month.” Since 10/1, they've been sending a 2nd email later in the day. That email includes a suggested thing to do, and for me, not all suggestions require equal effort.
