(LAGRANGE) - Applications are being accepted for Cycle 1 of the 2026-2027 LIFE Grants Program. The program is being done by the LaGrange County Community Foundation. LIFE Grants support projects, programs and curriculum that introduce educational opportunities to youth across LaGrange County.

(COLDWATER) - A road project will restrict access to the Branch County Courthouse. This week the Branch County Commission agreed to suspend their board rules and formally approved a modified parking plan for the County Courthouse that will start on Tuesday, September 8. This is being done because of the City of Coldwater's plan to do a reconstruction plan on Hudson Street.

(THREE RIVERS) - Live music will be on full display Sunday in downtown Three Rivers. The 33rd HarmonyFest will run from 1 PM until 10 PM. This year's music line up includes the Lisa Chilton Band starting at 1 PM; the Reverend Jesse Ray at 2:40 PM; then Yolanda Lavender at 3:45 PM. At 4:45 PM Paul Jellico will take the stage with the Kalamazoo Pipe Band at 5 PM and the Bootstrap Boys at 5:35 PM followed by the Chris Canas Band.

(COLDWATER) - A traffic stop in Coldwater led to the arrest of a man. The Branch County Sheriff's Office made a traffic stop September 3 on Chicago Road near Sprague Street. During the stop, deputies developed information indicating the driver, 37-year-old Carl Striggow of Coldwater, may be in possession of illegal narcotics. A search of Striggow found he was in possession of suspected crack cocaine and methamphetamine.

(STURGIS) - A fire over the weekend did damage to a commercial building on the north side of Sturgis. The Sturgis Department of Public Safety Fire Division was called to the 900 Block of North Clay Street just after 4 PM Saturday for a report of smoke coming from a commercial building. Mutual aid was provided by the Tri-Township Fire Department and Burr Oak Fire Rescue.

(MARSHALL) - Pavement repairs are set to begin next week on M-66 in Sturgis. The Michigan Department of Transportation says they and Louis Kay Contracting Company will be repairing approximately 2.6 miles of pavement on M-66 from the Indiana/Michigan State Line to U.S. 12.

(CONSTANTINE) - The inductees to the Constantine Athletic Hall Of Fame for 2026 have been announced. The Constantine Athletic Hall Of Fame Committee says the 22nd class includes outstanding individual athletes, coaches and a remarkable team.
