ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Tracking a cold front that will cross the region later this morning with a few clouds and a brief shower around 10-11am. Behind that front skies clear for nice sunshine, but a strong wind will develop. Gusts 30-35mph from the northwest off the lake will be with us much of the afternoon. Temps remain in the 50s the rest of today. Clear skies tonight will allow temps to rapidly drop with areas away from the lakes and urban centers seeing a chance for some frost Tuesday morning. Sunny and cool Tuesday afternoon with less wind and then a nice warm-up coming for Wednesday as top temps climb to near 70 once again. Threat Tracker will be green

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Clear and chilly weather to start the day with some widely scattered frost. Lots of sunshine in the forecast Tuesday with less wind than yesterday around 10-15mph this afternoon. Clear skies this evening will allow temperatures to drop into the 40s to start tonight but wind will increase from the southwest into Wednesday morning. The stronger gusts, 20-30mph, will bring highs Wednesday back into the upper 60s and low 70s. Skies will be partly sunny. Threat Tracker green.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Tropical Storm Isaias has formed over the warm gulf water south of Texas. This storm is forecast to strengthen into a hurricane later today and tonight and approach Cat 2-3 intensity later in the week as is approaches Alabama and the Florida Panhandle. Stay tuned to News10 for updates on the storm strength and path. After Isaias makes landfall, the remnants will move north and may impact our region later in the weekend with some rain on Sunday. Our weather on Saturday looks wonderful for any outdoor fall activities but it may turn wet sometime Sunday into the Monday holiday. The exact timing and track of Isaias will ultimately impact the effects we feel here so stay tuned to News10 for updates into the weekend.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Our first hurricane of the season in the Atlantic has formed in the gulf and will continue to intensify as it approaches the Gulf

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Tracking the latest in the tropics as Hurricane Isaias is strengthening this morning in the Gulf and may become a Cat 3 storm today with sustained winds of 120mph in the forecast. Landfall should be around midnight tonight in the Florida Panhandle near Pensacola. Stay tuned to News10 for updates through the day. The remnants of the storm will move north this weekend and arrive here around midday Sunday. Steady rain is looking more and more likely for Sunday afternoon and evening with a soaking half an inch to inch of rain on the way. Threat Tracker is green.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Cloudy and quiet weather to start the new week on this Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples' Day. Heavier clouds in the morning with patchy fog and a little drizzle. Monday afternoon will be mostly cloudy and mainly dry with temperatures warming nicely into the upper 60s and low 70s. Tuesday will bring some showers and possible thunderstorms. Tracking a cold front that will bring a gusty wind a few downpours with gusts of wind. Temps Tuesday will be very warm with highs near 80 degrees. Behind that front we will see cooler weather with some sunshine for Wednesday in the 60s. Threat Tracker is green, but we do need to monitor the thunder for Tuesday.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Grab the umbrella as you head out Tuesday morning with a round of showers and possible thunder moving through the region. Timing for rain will be roughly 7AM to 10AM. After the showers clear we will see some sunshine and soaring temps into the afternoon with a gusty breeze. Highs today will be near 80 degrees with southwest winds 15-25mph. The record is 83 set back in 1995. Later this afternoon an isolated thunderstorm will be possible, mainly east of Rochester. Any storm that pops later today could bring a downpour and gusty winds. Looking ahead to midweek the weather will be mostly cloudy and cool Wednesday and Thursday with temps in the 50s and 60. Threat Tracker will be green.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – More fine fall weather on the way for Thursday. After a frosty cold start to the day some sunshine will help to warm the air into the 50s and low 60s during the afternoon. A few clouds will drift in later in the day and linger into the evening hours. Fair weather for high school football games tonight with a seasonable chill in the air. Temps in the 40s to start the day will climb into the 60s with some increasing clouds as a cold front approaches the region tonight. There may be a brief shower with the front but most of us stay dry. Behind the front the breeze will shift to the north as noticeably colder air arrives Tuesday. High temps only near 50 Tuesday afternoon. After a brief cool down milder weather quickly returns into Wednesday and Thursday. Threat Tracker will be green.
