We broke our record high today here in Erie with observed high temperature of 85 degrees, which broke the record of 83 back in 1983. For the rest of tonight, expect partly to mostly clear skies with advancing clouds overnight and maybe a few showers and rumbles by morning. Lows into the upper 50s. For our Wednesday, expect morning showers and a few rumbles otherwise partly to mostly cloudy and much cooler with high into the upper 60s. We stay into the 60s for Thursday with a mix of sun and clouds. Friday will feature our next storm system as it turns windy with scattered showers and maybe a thunderstorm at times. Early highs into the 60s, dropping into the lower 50s by the end of the day. We are continuing to watch Saturday as there could be a few wet snowflakes across the Allegheny River Valley and the Southern Tier of Western New York in the morning. Nothing is set in stone at this point, but we are tracking it.

While temperatures are expected to stay above freezing along the lakeshore, upper-20s are in the cards for inland locations. Typically colder areas of Warren County could drop to the mid-20s. The remainder of the forecast from Sunday all the way through the end of the upcoming work week features mostly sunny skies with highs in the low to mid-60s. Monday looks like the warmest day, when highs could reach the 70 degree mark.

Tom DiVecchio Updated High pressure gives us more sunshine with cool to mild temperatures today into the weekend.

Partly to mainly clear skies tonight with some patchy valley frost and fog developing after midnight. Low temps into the mid 30s inland to the mid 40s closer to the lakeshore. Another nice day is coming up on Friday with morning frost burning off with highs into the upper 50s. We are dry and seasonal through the weekend right into next week. As the high-pressure ridge starts to break down, we will see a few more clouds rolling in by mid week as temps stay seasonal to slightly above average.

Lots of sunshine is expected over the next seven days. Inland areas could see some frost Sunday morning. As for high temperatures, we’re looking at the mid-60s Sunday, before warming to around the 70 degree mark for Monday. A cold front will push through for Tuesday. While it will pass through without any rain, it will cool our highs down to the mid-50s Tuesday. We’ll moderate back to the mid-60s for Wednesday through Friday, with upper-60s for Halloween Saturday. Right now, we’re keeping Halloween dry, but a front will be making its way toward the area, so stay tuned to later forecasts in case there are any updates.
