Writing faculty member and alum nus Brian Morton ’78 has released his latest book, Writing as a Way of Life: A Book About Art, Craft, and Devotion (Black Lawrence Press, September 9). The book offers writers at every stage tools and inspiration for sustaining a lifelong creative practice. Drawing on his career as a novelist, memoirist, and teacher, Morton weaves together stories from writers such as Virginia Woolf and Anton Chekhov, alongside insights from artists and thinkers as varied as Joni Mitchell and Miss Manners.
