EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -A sunny and very warm start to the week will challenge some record high temperatures. Highs will top out near 90 through Wednesday, then pull back into the 60s by the weekend. Saturday and Sunday morning lows may dip into the 30s for the first time this season, and we can’t rule out a little scattered frost. We will transition from heat to cool with some scattered showers and storms on Wednesday and Thursday as a cold front dives through the Tri-State.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Sunny and hot again on Tuesday afternoon with highs near the record of 91 set in 1989. The next big change will be the arrival of showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday, followed by much cooler air for the end of the week and the weekend. Scattered frost possible by Sunday morning. We may see a few strong storms with damaging winds on Wednesday afternoon.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Mid-morning storms arrived as forecast on Wednesday. Evansville Regional Airport recorded a little less than an inch of rainfall. This morning’s rain will ease dry conditions across the Tri-State for at least the next week. A few more showers and storms are possible through Thursday before the coolest air of the season arrives for the weekend.

Sunny and dry through the weekend

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE)-No big changes to the ongoing weather conditions across the Tri-State. More sunshine and pleasant temperatures to finish out the week and carry through the weekend. Most of next week still looks like this week. Daily highs will top out in the low to mid 70s each day and lows will drop into the 40s at night. Patchy fog may develop around the rivers and bodies of water.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -More sunshine on the way through the weekend. Overnight lows will again drop into the middle 40s with some patchy fog in the hours around sunrise (7:08 am). Highs on Saturday will rise into the mid 70s with plenty of sunshine. Virtually identical conditions for Sunday. The sunny and pleasant streak will continue for much of next week. Dry conditions will worsen each day without rain, so the threat for wildfires will increase. Bonfires and camp fires need to be closely monitored, especially during breezy times of the afternoon and evening.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Our string of warmer-than-normal days and cool nights will continue through the work week. Lows will drop into the upper 40s on Tuesday morning and highs will top out in the upper 70s. Southerly winds will continue through the week, so we’ll repeat the weather conditions through Friday. No rain through Friday, but showers are still looking possible for the weekend.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Sunny and dry weather will continue through the end of the work week before rain arrives over the weekend. Daily highs will reach the middle to upper 70s and lows will drift into the lower 50s each night. Other than a little patchy fog each morning, no disruptive weather for the work week.
